Your Bridal Experience
at Cotswold Bridal Couture.
Do I Need to Book?
Absolutely! Your journey with us begins with an appointment, whether you're trying on dresses for the first time, coming back to collect your dress or wanting to try some accessories. Each appointment is exclusive use, so you will have our stylists complete attention. It's crucial to arrive on time, as we can’t extend your session if you're late. If you arrive early, check out the awesome cafes and shops along the high street, or go for a little walk, Chipping Campden is such a beautiful town!
How Many Guests Can I Bring?
At Cotswold Bridal Couture our boutique provides a stylish and intimate setting to ensure a personalised and memorable experience. Bring along a maximum of THREE guests to your appointment, allowing for a streamlined and focused experience. We've learned that fewer voices lead to clearer choices - it keeps it supportive, relaxed and joyful! Please note, our boutique is not suitable for babies or children, no under 16’s allowed due to the delicate nature of our stock and interiors.
What Size Are Your Dresses?
The dresses in our boutique are samples for you to try, so you won’t be taking one home. When you say ‘Yes to the dress’, we will place an order, take your measurements and a new one will be made just for you! Our samples range from UK sizes 8 to 16. Dresses can be ordered in sizes 4-28 and we can order mix sizes or complete made to measure, depending on the designer. Remember, bridal sizing is different from high street sizing, so be prepared that your dress might be ordered in a size larger than you would normally wear. Our samples won’t fit your perfectly, but our stylists are experienced, and in your appointment they will guide you through the details of each dress design, so you can understand how it will fit you when it is made to your measurements.
What Should I Bring to My Appointment?
- Nude Underwear, seamless is best!
- No Bra Needed, our gowns have built-in support, so a bra is not needed unless you absolutely want one
- No Fake Tan Please, it stains our samples
- Heeled Shoes, or a style similar to what you’d like to wear on your wedding day
- Payment Method, be ready to order your dress, four out of five brides find theirs at Cotswold Bridal Couture!
Extra Tip!
- Pamper Yourself, treat yourself to some TLC before your appointment—fresh hair, simple makeup, and glowy skin will help you to feel your best when trying on the dresses
How Much Are Gowns at Cotswold Bridal Couture?
Before your appointment, think about your budget and be open with our stylists when chatting to them. This helps them to find you a dress you’ll love without any pressure. Our current collection of made-to-order dresses range from £800 to £2500, but sourcing, styling and bespoke designs are available POA. If you’re not the one paying, please discuss budget arrangements and explain the process in advance of your appointment so you can enjoy a seamless, exciting experience!
How Do I Pay for My Wedding Dress?
At Cotswold Bridal Couture, we want every bride to find her perfect dress without stress! Choose between two payment options:
1) Pay in full when ordering
2) Two-Step Payment Plan: 50% deposit when ordering, with the final balance due two months later.
We accept Debit/Credit cards, BACS transfers, or cash.
When Do I Need to Order My Dress?
You ideally want to aim to say ‘Yes to the dress’ and place your order at least 10-12 months before your big day. The earlier, the better, as most brides choose their dress first and then style the rest of their look around it! So you’ll want time to decide on jewellery, veil, shoes, hair, makeup, flowers etc… Each designer gown is made to order, so you need to be ready to choose ‘The one’, and our top tip is to come with an open mind and see what suits you… its not like any dress you’ve ever worn before. Unless you’re lucky to have found love again and heading down the aisle once more… in which case we’ll make sure this new beginning is as celebrated and special.
Rush orders are available for an additional fee of £150-£250, but availability isn’t guaranteed. Don’t forget, most dresses will still need some small alterations to fit you perfectly, these can take a further 6-8 weeks, depending on the time of year and how busy our seamstress is!
Will I Need Alterations When My Dress Arrives?
Most dresses will need a few small alterations to be made to fit you perfectly - this is completely normal! We recommend a skilled seamstress who works in our studio for this process, which typically takes 6-8 weeks. Keep in mind, alterations are an additional cost directly to the seamstress, so factor this into your budget and timeline. You’re not obligated to use our recommended seamstress, but we’re here to guide you through every step of your bridal journey!
When Do I Take My Dress Home?
We will notify you as soon as your dress arrives so you can come and try it on. We will give you advice on any alterations required and you can then arrange an appointment with our recommended seamstress if you wish or take your dress home.
I hope this answers all of your questions, but if you need to make a further enquiry before booking your appointment, please email hello@cotswoldbridalcouture.co.uk
